Piano safety is crucial

As this story proves, pianos are big, heavy and can be dangerous, particularly when being moved.

In this incident a one-year-old child was crushed by a “small piano” which his mother was trying to move. Even a small piano weighs several hundred pounds. A quick-witted neighbour on an adrenalin rush managed to lift the piano and the toddler was rushed to hospital with severe head injuries. The child is in critical condition.

Don’t take the risk, call in the experts if you need a piano moved. And never let children play near an unstable piano or underneath a grand piano.
