Piano tuning a form of meditation for former New York resident

Joel Cook has probably tuned over ten-thousand pianos since he gained his degree in piano tuning and restoration in the 1970s.

His career started as a professional pianist and involved a lot of travelling. Later, he decided on a change of direction, which led to him setting up his own piano tuning business.

His family now enjoy a slower pace of life in Virginia, mainly offering his services to families, schools and churches.
