Rudolf Golez plays Liszt

After wowing a select international jury in Kuala Lumpur who named him the sole prizewinner at the 1st Asean International Chopin Piano Competition late last year, Rudolf Caesar Pelaez Golez now embarks on an innovative educational piano concert tour series.

Not for him a pastiche of mix-’n-match repertoire. His concert—dubbed “Rudolf P. Golez Plays Liszt”—focuses on one composer, the great romantic Franz Liszt.

“I want to explore the development of the body of work of one major composer, and discover the multiple complexity of an artist—his styles, his concerns, the full range of his personality and his powers,” says the thoughtful but also hip twentysomething Golez.
