Artiphon has announced the latest in its line of Orba handheld instruments — the Orba 3 — is now shipping.
This is an ultra-portable eight-pad looper, sampler, synth and controller with built-in microphone. Aimed at both beginners and more experienced music makers, Orba 3 is an easy way to turn musical ideas into reality, especially when on the move.
As well as the library of over 300 built-in sound samples, the mic allows you to sample any sound in your environment and use in your compositions.
The looper allows you to create and layer sounds, and the Orba 3 integrates with DAW and other devices via MPE MIDI over USB-C and Bluetooth.
Scale selection and auto-quantising keep you in tune and in time, a chord mode lets you play chords with a single touch, and additional settings can be customised on the app.
