After yet another accidental early disclosure, Arturia has now officially launched version 5.0 of its firmware for the MiniFreak algorithmic synth.

This version includes the ability for users to import their own samples and wavetables, as well as adding a new factory bank of sounds.
Users can import their own samples in WAV, AIFF or FLAC formats – up to 12-bit/32kHz six-second samples – then reshape them with the synth’s sample-based engines including granular synthesis.
Monophonic wavetables can be imported from libraries including Pigments, then shaped in the editor, up to 24-bit, 512 points.
Additionally there are 23 brand new presets bringing exclusive new sample and wavetable content.
The update is available now as a free download and install.
