Parasit Studio has announced the availability of its Console 84 guitar synthesizer pedal inspired by the nostalgic sounds of 8-bit computers and consoles.
It features two latching oscillators with envelopes, glide, detune and octave settings, fuzz mode and pseudo-random pattern sequencer. It can save up to five settings.

It took five years for the development to come to release.
Also availability is the pared-down C82 MICRO single oscillator DIY build version of the Console 84.
It features one latching oscillator with an envelope, three octave setting, three modulation types (vibrato, PWM and alternating octaves), and three pseudo-random pattern sequencer settings.

The oscillator can be blended with a straight square wave, fuzz, or one octave down.
The Console 84 retails at €299 while the self-build C82 Micro comes in at €249.
Now we know this is primarily aimed at guitarists — and we are not guitarists — but I wonder what other audio sources can be plugged into these devices to give them the nostalgic feel…
