The Demon Box electromagnetic field synth, a successful Kickstarter project, has now gone on general release. This groundbreaking instrument was featured in a one-night multimedia performance by Suzanne Ciani and the Eternal Research team in San Francisco.
The show — Rite of the Demon: Summer — blended live electronic performance, dance, cinematic projection, handcrafted instruments, and quadrophonic sound.
Demon Box is the world’s first portable electromagnetic field (EMF) instrument which transforms the unseen world of electronic fields into playable audio, MIDI and control voltages.
The performance used some of Eternal Research’s other instruments including the Demon Harp, Demon Viola, and Demon Bells.
Another performance — Rite of the Demon: Fall — will take place in Brooklyn, NY on 18th September, featuring more experimental music and audiovisual performance from Testu Collective and Leslie Garcia.
