Love Synthesizers has announced its First Love synth is due to be released in September 2026 (update: first shipments expected October 2026). This little instrument has already caused quite a buzz, and won an innovation award at Superbooth ’24, and the wait is nearly over.
This FM synth offers the ability to quickly design sounds using custom FM connections, expressive wave shaping and morphing envelopes, plus effects and modulation.

Up to four different polyphonic or monophonic instruments can be played at once, with instrument and MIDI combinations possible.
On board is also an arpeggiator and looper, including MIDI looping. The First Love features tactile, pressure sensitive controls and a touch screen for ease of operation. It can run off batteries and has built-in speakers, plus headphone and line level output plus four mono outputs, as well as sync in/out, full size MIDI ports and USB-C power/data.
Availability from October this year, pricing expected to be around $700.
