Here’s a product which gives a great clue about its purpose just from the name. Goldfinger, from Music Thing Modular, is a playable matrix mixer covered in real gold (which even basic physics/chemistry tells you is highly conductible) that lets you play it using your fingers.
Available fully constructed, for a low price, this passive matrix mixer features six bidirectional jacks and a touch map — a grid of finger-sized regions containing all possible combinations of signals.

It can be patched as five inputs and out output to make a mixer, for four inputs and two outputs for a stereo mixer. One input and five outputs for a signal distributor, and so on.
This is not kit to make beautiful melodies on. It’s noisy, distorted, bleeding audio. It’s great with audio and pulses, and possibly CV signals.
Dry skin is less conductive, wet skin can leave behind water that sustains connection.
The surface is pure gold, one hundred atoms thick.
