Overview

The Casio CTK-2300 is a home keyboard released in 2013. It is marketed primarily to home musicians.

The CTK-2300 has 61 synth/organ style full sized keys with touch sensitivity but no aftertouch. It has 48 notes of polyphony. It has hundreds of on board sounds including pianos and real world sounds, accompaniments and rhythms, and a sustain/damper pedal.

The CTK-2300 uses Casio's High-level sample playback sound system, a basic PCM-style sample engine used in entry-level keyboards. It also uses Acoustic and Highly-compressed Large waveforms sound source, offering efficient sample playback optimized for low memory with good fidelity.

It has the ability to record and play back user performances. It has built-in MIDI capabilities. It offers an on-board learning system. It has no built-in speakers which means you will have to connect it to external amplification and speakers in order to hear it. It runs from AC power.

The keyboard is a decent choice for children. It's very much an entry level model, making it cheaper but also with fewer functions or lower quality sounds than more expensive keyboards. It's a part of the CTK family of instruments.
