KORG has announced a new version of its KingKORG virtual analog synth, in a 37-key model, complete with new sounds, vocoder and refreshed look.
The KingKORG NEO combines a classic analog-like synth layout with swift, intuitive editing, for an unmatched level of depth and flexibility.
The XMT (eXpanded Modelling Technology) virtual analog sound engine has been created to offer an expansive array of sounds and simple operation, including preset algorithms which combined different oscillator types and quantities for the creation of rich, performance-ready tones in very little time.
Algorithms include classic sawtooth and square wave and more intricate noise patterns and PCM/DWGS, making it a very versatile instrument for many musical styles and preferences.
The filter section contains a diverse range of options including essential analog modelling filter types. This includes filters which echo the iconic analog monophonic synths of the 1970s, as well as poly synths from the 1980s and legendary filters from KORG’s own MS-20 analog synth.
KingKORG NEO has a balanced XLR input and rugged, high quality microphone for utilising the on-board vocoder. This includes a 16-band filter for crafting classic vocoder tones as well as being able to play with formant shift, filter frequency, EQ, panning and more. The vocoder can also be blended with the synth sounds.
