KORG has announced the launch of its MPS-10 drum, percussion and sampler pad, claiming it to be the “next step in the constant evolution of drum performance and musical expression.”
The unit features ten pads, high quality sound source, versatile sampler, four CC pads, and a four-track looper, plus external trigger jack, footswitch and expression pedal compatibility and more.
There are 2,350 assignable instrument pads and 3000 high quality sounds samples available, from expressive instrument tones and nuanced variations based on playing style, to electric instrument sounds, and classical percussion such as congas, bongos and more, plus a wide range of acoustic percussion sounds.
The MPS-10 has 100 preloaded kits, and the ability to highly control the sounds. The 4-track looper also opens up many creative possibilities.
The top four pads on the unit are CC pads which accurately detect striking position for intuitive control of effect parameters. External triggers can also be used.
