KORG has introduced its latest digital piano, the Poetry, which gives two distinct nods to composer Chopin by incorporating two piano tones associated with him.
The 1843 PLEYEL piano tone was Chopin’s choice of piano, while the contemporary Italian Fazioli concert grand is favoured by many at the International Chopin Competition and elsewhere.
The PLEYEL has an alternative tuning of 430Hz (rather than 440Hz) and the KORG Poetry recreates this with 80 keys sampled to faithfully recreate it.
The piano has a “Poetic Brown” wood-grain exterior, with gold-adorned pedals and toes, and a depth of just 26cm. The keyboard uses KORG’s RH-3 technology with a comfortable touch and graded weighting. The Poetry features three pedals with half-pedalling capability.
Other features include a two-part song recorder, metronome, layering, partner mode, Bluetooth audio support, and 50 Chopin masterpieces built in.
