If you’re a piano lover who also likes the nu-folk band Mumford and Sons, and have a spare £2,500 (about $4,000) lying around, you might want to check out this Bradford acoustic piano which was crafted into a Steampunk version for the band’s live session in Lewes (East Sussex, UK).
The current owners, Luke Hartery and Lee Reed, bought the piano in a charity auction when they were rather intoxicated, and have since realised they can’t really keep the instrument.
Their first eBay auction, with the piano listed at £3,000, ended yesterday with no buyers. They’ve since added a new listing asking for £2,500. The auction piece also included a signed CD of Mumford and Sons’ “Babel” album.
The upright piano was modified by pupils at Priory School in Lewes, and it’s now a truly unique instrument which apparently is in full working order though in need of tuning.
