In all honesty we’ve not come across NUX gear, let alone covered it on this site, so to make amends here’s news of NUX’s new NTK Series keyboard controllers, available in three sizes and featuring a mixer, velocity-sensitive drum pads, and mapped keys (depending on which version is used.)
Available as a compact 37-key version, and 49 and 61 key keyboards. The 61-key version features the whole shooting match, the 49-key version foregoes the pads, and the 37-key model loses the eight top rotary knobs.
To the left of the keys, they all feature nine sliders, a display, a large clickable data wheel, transport controls for DAW, selection buttons, transpose keys, pitch and modulation wheels.
The keybed is semi-weighted with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. There’s a jack for connecting a standard sustain pedal, plus a regular 5-pin DIN MIDI output as well as USB port for computer connection. It would’ve been nice to have an additional pedal input for expression or other switching, but an understandable omission at this level, with aftertouch being arguably more useful.
The keyboards come bundled with Cubase LE although they should be easy to set up with most modern DAWs.
