With very little noise, Arturia has released a “Play” version of its Arturia software synth, and it’s available as a free download.
Pigments Play is powered by Pigments but is a much cut-down and simplified synth, offering 100 presets which can be played and tweaked in an intuitive interface.

It’s very much aimed at those who are used to presets but want something easy to begin working with sound design, or those who want another source of fast sound ideas which can be altered enough to distance themselves from stock sounds.
It’s unlikely to be a secret that Arturia likely hopes users will take the upgrade path to full-blown Pigments.
