Polyend has announced the availability of its Synth, featuring three simultaneous synthesisers, eight distinct synth engines, effects, sequencers and arpeggiators.
The eight synthesising modules are:
- VAP: Dual-oscillator virtual analog polysynth inspired by Prophet and OB-8.
- PHZ: Modernised phase distortion engine with dual oscillators, advanced modulation settings and new phase distortion algorithms.
- ACD: Recreation of iconic vintage monophonic analog synths like the SH-101 and TB-303.
- FAT: 3-oscillator virtual analog synth engine with detune control.
- PMD: Physical modelling synth with dynamic sound shaping controls.
- GRAIN: Two-mode granular synth engine with burst and paraphonic modes.
- WAVS: Wavetable synth morphing between two wavetables with scanning control and phase warping.
- WTFM: 2-operator FM synth engine with wavetable-based oscillators.
Sequencers and arpeggiators can be independently assigned to each synth, for controlling swing, groove, octave range, gate length and more.
The Smart Grid is an advanced technology that allows for single-button chords and note followers which stay in tune.
Each of the 60 pads is touch sensitive and has independent aftertouch, while combo knobs are customisable macros for controlling one, two or three synths at once.
There are three effect engines:
- MOD: Advanced modulation.
- DEL: Double delay engine with five delay models.
- REV: Reverb with three different modes.
The Synth is designed with live performance in mind, with its whole design tailored to making playing and altering sounds easy to do on-the-fly.
