Roland FP-10 digital piano: affordable quality instrument

Roland has announced its latest entry-level digital piano, the FP-10, designed to offer premium sound and playability to those seeking out their first keyboard instrument.

Featuring Roland’s high quality digital piano sound with an expressive 88-weighted key design, the FP-10 is also portable despite including inbuilt stereo speakers. It’s also a great instrument for more experienced pianists who need an instrument to travel to gigs and practices with.

The FP-30, which was launched in 2016 but that we still recommended for 2018, has been very successful for Roland. The FP-10 takes many of the best features of FP-30, but makes it more affordable for those on a tighter budget.

Technology includes the SuperNATURAL dynamic piano sound that features detailed articulation and response, plus the PHA-4 standard keyboard which offers a progressive hammer action, escapement, and ivory-feel keys.

On board sounds include four piano tones, two electric pianos, and nine other tones including organs and strings. Basic features include metronome, ambience/brilliance effects, transposition, dual or twin piano keyboard mode, and 96 notes of polyphony.

Two 6W speakers, DC in for power, USB B for MIDI computer connection, USB A for updates and phones jack complete the connections.
