Roland GP609 digital grand piano announced

Roland has introduced its GP609 digital grand piano, combining the luxury and elegance of an acoustic grand piano with the benefits of a modern digital piano.

This is a classic 4.9′ (150cm) depth grand digital piano, weighing in at just 325lbs (148kg), with a built-in 6.1-channel multi-speaker system for powerful sound projection, and the Roland SuperNATURAL piano modelling technology.

The instrument includes Bluetooth, allowing for music playback via a smartphone or tablet, and MIDI over Bluetooth. Roland’s Headphones 3D Ambience technology offers natural, realistic sound when practicing privately.

It comes in either polished ebony or polished white finishes.

The piano features Roland’s PHA-50 keyboard, which recreates the look and feel of real ebony and ivory, including moisture absorbing properties to ensure a player’s fingers won’t slide off the keys.

A progressive damper pedal mechanism closely replicates the pedal response of an acoustic piano, including half pedalling response.
