Steinberg has announced a number of big discounts and free updates to mark the 30th anniversary of Virtual Studio Technology (VST) and 25th anniversary of the HALion synth and sampler platform.

VST
Over three decades, VST has transformed how musicians and other audio professionals have worked with computer-based music, allowing developers to create groundbreaking plugins which work across different DAWs and platforms. VST continues to be developed and evolve to embrace the latest technology and standards, such as the newly announced SDK update which supports more MIDI 2.0 functionality and other enhancements.
HALion
Debuting in 2001, HALion is a state-of-the-art professional synthesiser and sampler platform, with the latest version featuring six different types of synthesis, high-performance sample engine, wide range of effects, scripting, and much more.
Steinberg releases HALion 7.5 as a free update for existing users introducing new features and enhancements such as MPE support, real-time Decompose, and Spectral Snapshot.
