It’s fair to say the Stylophone range has come on a lot since the original instrument was revamped, with the latest teased version diving into sampling.
We’re used to portable samplers with buttons, keys and touchscreens, but the iconic Stylophone treatment is sure to lend a new spin on it.
Exact details haven’t been fully revealed yet, but there’s a teaser video and basic specifications.
Looking at the panel of buttons, there’s a big red sample button beneath a built-in microphone input, a tempo dial, then various effects and manipulations such as reverse, slow, robot, repeat, drive, chorus, delay and reverb. Also spin, LP, HP (low and high pass presumably), and wobble.
