Teenage Engineering has announced what appears to be a successor to its OP-Z. The OP-XY is a dual-CPU boosted sequencer, sampler and performance instrument with a naturally expensive price tag and some drool factor.
Kitted out in all black with greyscale gradients, the display is also in greyscale with bright red to indicate recording and parameter locks. and LEDs on individual keys.
Sequencing is said to be “ultra fast” thanks to punch-in FX for adding quick, rapid-firing, unique live variations. “brain” is an AI-esque feature for creating chord progressions.
