A simple chord finder for some of the more common chord patterns you may want to learn.
Either type the chord or select it from the drop down boxes. You can choose the root note, the type of chord, and whether a bass note is present, then click/tap on the "Show" button to display it on the keyboard. Click/tap on "Play Chord" to hear it. You can also click or tap on individual notes on the keyboard to hear them.
Due to space constraints and other issues, larger and more complex chords may simply display and sound all the constituent notes together rather than spread out. Bear in mind that the notes of chords can be distributed across several octaves, and played as a split between the left and right hand, if desired.
If a chord doesn't display on the keyboard when you've typed it in, you may have used incorrect syntax or a chord this tool doesn't yet recognise.
