UVI has announced the latest version of its free Workstation software. Version 4 has a more intuitive interface, a new browser with tagging, search, favourites, and instant audio previews for seamless sound exploration.
Of course it’s only useful if you have some of the existing UVI sounds, although you do get a free starter pack with your download.
Workstation lets you browse for files, work with samples, and is multi-timbral for creating performance patches, including splits and arpeggiation.
It works in standalone or plugin mode.
