Here we offer simple, blank music manuscript paper in PDF and PNG formats for all the major and minor keys and both grand staff and treble clef versions.

Grand Staff

The grand staff is a fancy way of saying that both the treble and bass clefs are present on the manuscript. It’s the most common format for piano and keyboard music, particularly when complete scores are written out and involve playing with both right and left hands.

There can still be space for lyrics in between the staves, which is where they are usually put, although it can get quite crowded if the treble and bass staves are close together.

Here we have blank manuscripts for all major and minor keys (use the blank one for C major / A minor). You need to add your own time signature to each staff, as well as bar lines where appropriate.

Treble Clef Only

The treble clef manuscript is useful when you are writing melody lines, chord sheets and lyric sheets. It’s great for simplifying music which doesn’t have to be played verbatim, but instead where the chords and possibly lyrics are more important. It’s a great place to start when composing a song to get the structure in place without having to spend time writing out lots of additional notes.
