A keyboard is not just for Christmas: A Buyers Guide
October 12, 2005 by Andy
Introduction – Part One: Type – Part Two: Budget – Part Three: Features – Part Four: Extras – Part Five: Manufacturers
I’ve written this guide to help anyone looking to buy the perfect keyboard/piano this Christmas, either as a gift or for themselves.
In five parts, I’ll cover:
- Type: Acoustic piano, digital piano, home keyboard, workstation, synth… what’s best for you?
- Budget: $200 to $4000+. How big are your pockets?
- Features: Keys, sounds, tutors, lights, sequencers, effects… You pays your money…
- Extras: Stands, pedals, seats, DVDs… all those extra bags…
- Manufacturers: Main instrument manufacturers
This guide will not tell you which keyboard to buy. After all is considered, it’s a personal choice.
What it will do is to help you explore all the options, so that you can make a better informed choice.
Happy shopping!
