The Synthesizer Museum Berlin has announced it will be opening to the public on 12th February this year, with an opening party happening a day earlier.
The 11th Feb 2025 grand opening party will feature Tangerine Dream’s keyboard/synth player, Thorsten Quaeschning, and German musician/producer Pyrolator.
The main exhibition is only temporary, although there is no mention of how long it will be in place. It will feature over fifty iconic and rare synths together with related electronic instruments. Certain items will be made available for visitors to play. There will also be guided tours which explore the history and significance of the exhibits.
Longer term there is a goal to establish a permanent museum in Berlin. The museum is a part of the Protone Studio group, which also runs a studio in Berlin Kreuzberg.
