Arturia has announced the launch of its AudioFuse 16Rig high-density audio interface which combines an unmatched array of connections with a “creativity-first” workflow. It has been built to handle setups which rely heavily on hardware rather than DAWs/softsynths and the like, and will keep connected devices in sync and sounding great.
The interface allows devices to stay connected at all times and then offers direct routing options between them. It works as a standalone mixer for those not using a DAW for recording. It has two low-latency internal mixers which can be used to process both audio and MIDI without a computer connection, with saving of configurations for instant recall and quick setup switching.
Audio routing includes multiple sends/returns for effects, A/B speaker monitoring, and a matrix for “connect anything and everything” functionality.
Audio quality is achieved thanks to two digitally-controlled preamps and 24-bit AD/DA converters from ESS and Cirrus Login. The whole interface can be controlled via the display or through the included software, and it can be used on desktop or in 1U rackmount operation.
This USB-C audio interface has a whopping 32 inputs and 28 outputs. Each unit comes with a suite of creative plugins from Arturia’s FX Collection including Analog Lab Intro, Pre 1973, Pre V76, Filter Mini, Chorus JUN-6, Comp FET-76, Delay TAPE-201, Rev PLATE-140, Phaser BI-TRON, Pre TridA and Comp DIODE-009.
